The Greatest Showman | Movie Thoughts

I never thought that I would write something about a movie here on my blog as I am resolved with the fact that there are also some blogs/ articles that talk and write some movie reviews and they do it waaayyyy better. But this blog post is not a movie review (I swear) I’m telling you, also I will not make this post so lengthy that you will get sleepy while reading it. I just wanted to express what I feel after watching the movie, and am tellin’ you ‘twas a really beautiful show niggah!

I am a fan of musical films, I easily get hooked when I watch some musical films and when I find the story interesting. I have witnessed some musical films before (like Pitch Perfect, High school Musical, Les Miserable, Enchanted, Mama Mia!, Into the Woods etc.) but this show is one of my favorite. I just know it but here are some of the reasons to begin with:

1.      The plot is interesting.

2.      The show is very wonderfully shot (every single details of the time when the Barnum & Bailey Circus started, like the settings, the costumes, and many more.)

3.      The characters’ interaction will really make you feel all sorts of feelings – elated, sad, cheery, and nostalgic and some more. In short, it will really get you hooked.

To sum it up, The Greatest Showman is a 2017 American musical film, starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya and many more. The film is inspired by the story of P. T. Barnum (Hugh Jackman) and how he create the Barnum & Bailey Circus, it also talk about the lives of its star attraction. The movie also show his (P. T. Barnum | Hugh Jackman) struggles when he was starting his business from scratch, how he deceive the bank to loan him a large amount to buy a museum which he used as a stage for their performances together with his constituent.

I am trying not to give spoiler from the movie, because I want you to watch and discover how beautiful the film was on your own and I will guarantee that it will really can get you hooked.  But I will state just a few hints of what happened to P. T. Barnum on his way to reach those precious diamonds that he always wanted.

Along his sojourn, he meet a lot of controversies, issues and scandals about his business. The shows that he make together with some peculiar, talented, and special people was paving its way to stardom, and was making it a hot topic of the public, branding his talents as “barbaric”, “freaks” and “freakshows” but he stand mighty on top of those controversies. His shows was the headlines of some print ads, tabloids, and some newspapers; but not until he met a Swedish singer that make his world turned upside down (Maybe I will stop right there. Just watch the movie; enjoy and appreciate the life of those men who performs in a circus.).
